DNS Record Types
DNS Resource Record Types — records of the correspondence of the name and service information in the domain name system.The most popular resource record types are:

A | Address record, correspondence between name and IP address |
AAAA | IPv6 Address |
CNAME | Canonical name for an alias (one-level redirect) |
DNAME | Domain alias |
MX | The mail gateway address for the domain. It consists of two parts - priority (the larger the number, the lower the priority), and the host address. Critical to SMTP, the basis for Internet mail routing |
SOA | An indication of the credibility of information, used to indicate a new zone |
TXT | Record arbitrary binary data up to 255 bytes in size |
