How to point a domain name to an IP address

In order to allow all possible visitors to view your site, you need to set an IP address for your domain. You can do this by creating an A record that will point your domain to a specific server IP address.
The A record (or address record) indicates which IP address is specified for the requested domain. For large scalable systems, it may be important to specify multiple A records for a single domain name.

How to point a domain to an IP address in a few simple steps:

  1. Register your domain if you haven't already done so previously.
  2. The domain must be delegated to our name servers, which are listed on the page.
  3. Select DNS Manager from the Domains menu.
  4. Click the button Add domain.
  5. Enter the domain name and IP address of the server in the appropriate fields.
  6. Click the button Add domain again.

How to change IP addresses by domain:

  1. Select DNS Manager from the Domains menu.
  2. Find your domain in the list and click the Domain Records button or enter it in the field and click the Search Domain button.
  3. Find the record with type A and specify the desired IP address in the value field.
  4. Click the button Save.
It's important to remember that all DNS records are cached, both at your internet providers, if you use their resolvers, and on your device.

In case the domain is not delegated to our name servers, please check the instructions with the support of the company that maintains these name servers.
