Fair Use Policy

23 Apr 2024, 12:30:58
All VPS plans are subject to a fair use policy. The fair use policy implies that there are no restrictions on channel bandwidth, drive and processor capacity, provided that resources are used reasonably.

This policy is designed to ensure a fair and stable experience for all virtual machines sharing the same server node.
We monitor average usage on each node to determine what constitutes fair use. Virtual machines whose resource consumption significantly exceeds the average value on their host and results in degraded overall performance may be resource constrained.

"Reasonable" CPU Usage

The virtual machine (VM) is expected to use CPU resources allocated according to the tariff:
  • up to 50% of the daily average
  • up to 30% of the weekly average
The fair use policy for CPU usage does not apply to High CPU VPS plans.

"Reasonable"Bandwidth Usage

The virtual machine (VM) is expected to use bandwidth resources allocated according to the tariff:
  • up to 40% of the daily average
  • up to 20% of the weekly average

Below are examples of typical VPS CPU usage at average daily levels of 10%, 20%, and 38%. This policy does not apply to these virtual machines.
