DNS Resource Record Types — records of the correspondence of the name and service information in the domain name system.
The most popular resource record types are:
|A||Address record, correspondence between name and IP address|
|CNAME||Canonical name for an alias (one-level redirect)|
|MX||The mail gateway address for the domain. It consists of two parts - priority (the larger the number, the lower the priority), and the host address. Critical to SMTP, the basis for Internet mail routing|
|SOA||An indication of the credibility of information, used to indicate a new zone|
|TXT||Record arbitrary binary data up to 255 bytes in size|
